Hi Guys,
The gospel group that I sing with has purchased a 1984, MCI-9 “Jersey Cruiser”. She has a 6V92TA with an Allison 740 Transmission. This is a very clean unit with very little rust and dings. There is only one problem…the person that we get her from didn’t have any manuals (I’ll start looking Monday).
The only thing that I’ve found is a small leak that has developed on the transmission. It’s not a big one but a leak is a leak. Could someone please tell me what type of fluid that the transmission uses? We’re gonna be leaving out tomorrow and I may need to “top it off”.
I’m sure that as time goes on I’ll have a lot of other questions. LOL

Glenn cant answer your question on Tranny fluid. I can however invite you to yahoo groups... There is a group there for NJ TRANSIT BUSES that you will have tons of reading.

Thanks for the replys fellas. I was thinking that it might be Dexron 111.
