put masking tape 1/8" away from rubber, small bead of silacone, worked it smoth with paddel, removed tape, looked at it this morn. BEAUTIFUL

When you get to doing a real replacement of the rubber be sure to get all the silicone off & that will be quite a chore. If you don't get it all off you won't get the new seal you've paid for.

You go, 2D!

I did the same, only used some clear that I had lying around, and did it free hand. Completely functional, with little to no regard for appearances.

I'll get new rubbers for the windshields in awhile, and until then, it's a work in progress!

And the dirty secret is: new rubbers leak too!

So get used to using some goop or other! Don't use it on new install at your peril!

happy coaching!
