I would like to put a 50AMP DC circuit breaker before my 12VDC loads and use an existing box to put it in. The box will accept "Q" series breakers. Any suggestions? I can't seem to find DC rated breakers for this box. I'll bite the bullet and buy a new box if I have to, but I'm as cheap as anyone else. TIA Dale MC8 |

Dale, check on AC breakers. Many are rated for DC also in the lower ratings. Richard |

Dale, Square-D "QO" series breakers are DC rated. Don't know if they'll fit your box, since I am not familiar with "Q" series. -Sean |

Why not use a manual reset automotive type such as from Cole-Hersey? Its about 5/8"x1-1/4" and will go anywhere. Available at any autoparts store. If you need to turn off the circuits, a battery disconnect switch will do the trick. Jim |
