We've seen the photos of tiny cars in bays, but here's one with a 4x4 in the rear. I ain't listing the link, because it's FS and don't want I@n to start practicing self prevention on heart attacks again. But it's FS on another continent than about 99% of the readers here. It's a Scania, BTW.

Wow ! That's a pretty slick idea. If only I could get the boss to give up her bedroom in the back and sleep on the pull out. |

Where is the bus engine? If I were going to give up all that interior space, I'd want something worthy of the garage in there like a classic Corvette or a Ferarri. . . Since this is from overseas, their choice probably had to do with legal length limits. Pretty cool, tho. Scott |

Ian - Scott - thought you would get a kick out of this. I dunno where the drivetrain is, but it's a DD 6V92 with 5 Speed Allison believe it or not. And I agree - no way would I give up that much space. Plus, he has W/D & Dishwasher & booth lounge, full bath, fold up sofa & two single beds. Don't know how you can squeeze all that into that many cubic meters. |

Kingsley does it with a Peterbuilt (Class B,is it?) Something for Madbrit to ponder. Vehicle is under the bed in the Kingsley; the one I saw had Scott's dream machine, a vette. |

The Euro folks do not allow towing by a MH , so coach eating autos is very common across the pond. FAST FRED |

Unless I am mistaken, it appears the toad is RH drive? Hard to tell in the pic. My guess is this rig is in Oz or NZ? |

AU... I can't *believe* you noticed that, Scott! And another interesting thing, almost *all* of them have a "ShuRoo" installed for kangaroo protection. They're like the SUV's and some offroad trucks have here. (which usually never see a blade of grass offroad ;) |

Ah, "roo bars", a necessity for extensive outback highway travel down under. Actually, it was the Eucalyptus trees in the background that clued me in at first. Scott |

U.K. Lyptus... yeah I figured it from down under myself, the Aussies have a history of creating wild road (and off road) going vehicles. Brian |

No problems towing toads behind a rig in England or much of Europe as far as I am aware. You just need brakes on anything over 800 kgs. Rare to see converted coaches in England. James, Kingsley conversions are a Class C if anything other than a truck conversion. A Class B is a van conversion. I think they put the car directly behind the rear axle below the floor level. As far as I am concerned it puts a big weight way back there, not good for slippery conditions, just ask a Porsche 911 owner.... LOL. I'm sticking to my trailers, thanks. Peter. ps: Don't forget that Eagle with the ramps for loading a Suzuki Samurai in the back, over the engine. He had a door from the garage area into the bus. Was at the Lauglin Bus Convention a couple of years ago and was a feature in Mak's Mag. |
