Hi, we're still deciding the age old question "to raise or not to raise". It's a 1996 prevost le mirage. Can you guys tell me what floor to ceiling height you have? At the moment with the original ceiling still intact we have 76 inches. Thanks Ron |

all depends on how much time you spend walking around your bus.... I'm 6'6" and have no problem with my 04 ht ( not sure what it is off hand) |

Ron, I am converting a 86 Prevost LeMirage XL and I am not raising the roof. I am 6'1" and I don't have a problem. The only area that I have a height problem is in the shower area. I am doing a side isle and putting the shower in the center of the bus at the highest part. I also looked in to doing a step down shower that dropped down into the bay 6 to 8 inches to give you height in the shower. The shower is the biggest part I hated about my Class C and a friends Class A that I have used. I am also doing basement air so I don't have A/C hanging down taking up head space. The main reason I did not raise the roof is time. Being my first conversion I did not want the coach to end up a driveway potato. I wanted to start using it right away. I in fact was using the coach as a big tent 2 weeks after purchase. My brother who is 6'7" does has a little problem walking around but he is not in the coach that much. I told him that he can give me the money and I will gladly raise the roof. He stopped complaining. I have stripped my coach down and it would not be that "hard" to raise the roof. The main pain would be the drivers area. Some people do the split below the windsheild or between the windsheild and upper windows. If you do it between the windsheild and upper windows and you do a front caps it really gives it a high forhead look. I know that the Prevost chat group on Yahoo has some good info on raising the roof on a Le Mirage. Ron in SD Sioux Falls, SD |

IF you fit fine , why bother? Basement or Crusairs will handle the cooling loads with out having to duck under cheapo/noisy air blasters. Don't worry about outsized folks that don't fit, they don't fit on many airplanes and have learned to walk ,QUITE carefully !!! And most guests spend their time sitting anyway. FAST FRED |
