I'm having a real problem replacing my power steering pump.Could you guys tell me what you are running for pumps and if you know a good supplier. I'm running a vickers v10 but I would like to upgrade to a bigger pump.My pump is the origanal "65" and they just dont have any parts for them anymore, or so I'm told. Many thanks in advance.

Doug.....mine is a Vickers also. Haven't had any problems to deal with yet, but would suggest contacting West Coach in CA. 800 929-2258. Ask for Chuck.

There may be a better and $cheaper$ plan which would be to remove your trusty failed Victors V10 and take it down to your local friendly...

...hydralic supply store and have them match it up with something that will mount and work for you for $less$ than a new or rebuilt unit.

My Crown's Victors VT-42 right hand rotation pump blew up big time. There was no doubt that the thing had failed.

There was oil all over the pancake Cummins and engine compartment, the noise was incredible and the pump was WAY TOO hot to touch.

The good news was that the coach could be safely driven WITHOUT the pump as it has a power assist steering system.

Anyway, the mount Crown used is somewhat neat in that it can be adjusted to hang another specific model, as long as it is big enough..

...and has the proper threads and stuff. Don't pay the big bucks for an exact replacement. Going used generic can save you a ton...

...of money. I know--I learned the hard way. A Victors VT-42 would work fine in your application and a used one may only be a...

...hundred bucks or sooosss. A good shop can help you get one that can be made to fit. Gear/PTO driven pumps can be converted to a double...

...belt drive like mine and the rotation can be reversed if needed during a rebuild. Anyway good luck and....CROWNS FOREVER!!! VIN 37317

I changed my coach from a 671 to a 855-Big Cam...the 671 had a pump on the back of the Engine...the Big cam had the victor and ran a Hyd fan also...
