have a transfer switch has been out of service since 1999, when you put a load on it will run a few minuts and will kick out and back in. have checked the wiring with a meter and they checked ok.any sugestions? thanks

you need to explain it a little better,either the switch is bad ,or you are kicking it out because the two ends have a direct short...what kind of bus,where is this switch,whats it hooked up to,need more info

the switch transfer from shore power to generator is a automatic. it is just like you flip a switch
off and on.does not do this with the battery charger on.
the systems check out ok.
the bus is a 4104 with two ac.

does it do it all the time (bad switch) or just when you run two air conditioners (overloaded)

You may have rust on the Magnetic contact, A little sand paper will take it off, if You can get to it.
Rust will keep it from latching in solid.

Just a posibility!
