Has anyone had any experieince with this toilet? I want a "house like" toilet, but one that is easier on water than the typical 1.6 gals. I think I've narrowed it down to either the Microphor 220 (electric) or the Thetford Aria. I like the looks of the Aria, but I am unsure of how effective it is. Effecive to me means either not having skid marks or being good at cleaning skid marks. (well I guess no smell is good too).
Comments or suggestions?

The Sealands comes in home sized bowl sizes , ceramic bowl and almost no maint.

Only a tiny amount of water (a pint ?) is used to flush , which may extend your boondocking by 1200% compared to Sears house stuff.

Works for me ,

For my Neoplan I originally bought an Aria from RonTheBusnut. It arrived shattered in about 1k pieces, although well packed from my observation. After some discussion w/Ron I went with the Sealand, since it can be broken down better for shipping. The Aria was a better looking design IMHO but used slightly more water than the SeaLand(but then, who stands around admiring toilets?). I am well satisfied with the SeaLand, uses very little water and seems to scour itself very good; also has the sprayer wand).

Thanks Jim, Fred and Dos Dogs.

Dick Wright took the position that the Microphor is The Only toilet to put in a higher end coach. I looked at the Sealand at the MAK gathering, and I used one in a friends coach, and I could be quite happy with it as well. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything, or there is a better one out there. Emphasis on homelike, works well, less water useage is better, and no regard for cost. If I spend $150, or $450, in the long run makes no difference as long as I am happy with it. As you pointed out Jim, the Aria is a little better looking, I'm not sure it it works as well for skid marks (Fred, nothing against Pam, but hopefully there's a better way)

Two dogs - Home depot only sells half toilets (tank or bowl) for $50. I kind of want the whole thing, and 1.6 gals is way too much for boondocking.

H3Jim: I'm sure u are going to do your homework on this as is usual for u. However, no disrespect intended of Dick Wright, but I would have to disagree with him that anything is the "ONLY" way to go. Many of the Old Timers in this conversion game are far too opinionated for their own good. I'm just as sure he would tell u that a Wrico genset is the ONLY way to go and I would quite respectfully disagree with him and proceed to enumerate to him at least a half dozen reasons why it isn't. Variety in the marketplace is there for a reason. As you practice, and what I try to do, is weigh the pros and cons and select that which most nearly meets my criteria, not someone else's. I weight the "bang for the buck" factor heavily, and I personally don't think Microphor delivers enough bank for the bucks they cost, compared to high-end Theteford and Sealand. Just an opinion.

I have a Microphor in my Prevost and it works great. I have been full timing for over a year and it has worked great so far.Yes they are pricy, but for me it was worth the price.

I have had a Microphor 2qt air flush in my in my 4104 since 1990, It has worked flawlessly. Full size china, Flushes up or sideways through as small as ¾ inch. And no pan to empty.

How does the Home depot toilet work when you are moving? Doesn't the water splash out of the bowl and reservoir?

Trap in a toilet line? Mine will be almost straight in the tank as was the one on my eagle. No stink and it worked great!

In my opinion the absolutely best solution to "skid marks" is the installation of a water sprayer/rinser like used in a kitchen sink. These sprayers have a built in on-off valve connected to a rubber hose. Mount on the wall next to the head. One of the best goodies I had installed in my coach.
