I noticed in the camp ground section of the board there is a section for camp grounds to stay clear of. I think we should have one for other types of companies also. I have been badly burned twice in just over a month to the tune of more than $7,000.00 not including my own stupidity on purchaceing this particular bus. the guy at sun coast coaches " Garth" his last words to me was "how does it feel to get f#$@^" Kenworth of bowling green. who charged me nearly triple the price they quoted me and did very shoddy work will not stand behind there work. they also are the cause of my electrical problems in mho when they hooked up a battery charger wrong not only once but twice welding my conectors to the post.
I want to thank Frank Rowe in twin falls for his efforts in helping me. although it didn't work out. not his fault just the person he had to deal with.also the guy from columbus oh that called me with info that lead me to the tranny I found. Thanks. I have learned that if you do some one a good job they'll tell some of their friends. If you do a bad job they'll tell all of their friends. My advice to anyone wanting a bus on a low budget just wait till you can afford something nice. with all the money I have in mine now I could have bought a much nicer later model bus with less headaches. and only would have had to wait another month or two

for older bus parts..you have to be careful..luke has a ton of parts..bernhard bus has a ton..both luke and bernie know what they are doing..if you got a prob somewhere else..call one on them..they can direct you where to go and where to get the parts or have them shipped in.
I have used bernie for the last 3 years..he has become a good friend..id do anything fdor him..and he would do the same for me..luke, i have mever had the pleasure to meet but have talked to him on the phone..he has gone out of his way to get me the info i needed..

we do have alot of really nice and good people on this board..

To Pete's advice regarding good guys to go to with bus problems, for Pacific Northwest busnuts, I'll add Dave Gregory, Southern Oregon Diesel in Roseburg, OR.
Good, honest guy, sympathetic to busnuts, well equipped shop w/competent mechs, moderate rates. I've heard they have a good rep. for standing behind their work. But, since I've never had a problem with work done by them, I have no personal experience with them in that regard.

It would be to all of our advantage to compose a list of reputable places and people that have parts or do repairs that we can contact when on the road. we all have a list of our own and could contribute quite a few places others don't know of. then when we're traveling we can check the list for some one near us before calling some over priced shop that is incompetent and waste our money and time. post it some where on the board and we can print it out and update it frequently
