I now have the opportunity to do so (look for my "Conversion status report" from a few weeks back for the reason), since I have to replace the cluster anyway. The gauges I want are a speedometer, fuel, 6000RPM tach (already have it), oil pressure, oil temp, volts, & coolant temp. Everything will be Auto Gage except the tach. Has anyone ever built a gauge panel? At work, we have several Freightliner & Spartan buses with Teleflex gauges in a screw-on panel. It's kinda flimsy, but the idea is there. Anyone done this?

Bus is a 1984 Ford B-700 schoolie.

I built the one for my Eagle out of a plastic called "Kydex". It has a textured finish on one side and smooth on the other. It looks good when the texture is facing you and the chrome rimmed gauges are in place! It's very easy to work with, and not to flimsy when screwed down to the dash! It comes in various colors but I chose black so as to not cause a glare!

I built them out of .060 aluminum (for aircraft) but would choose abs plastic today or maybe the stuf ace used.
