After 20 plus years of installing wind shields in 9 . I learned that they have 2 sizes one 39 1/2 tall and the standard one 41 1/2 tall. When I ordered new gaskets for the nine that was coming this week , I was sent the same ones that I have used for 20 years. Only to find that it was to long. Called ABC bus and found out that there is a rare nine out there. Mike at MCI told me that in the 6 years he has been there he did not know that they made a smaller wind shield. It is never to old to learn somthing new. I sure was glad that I had not ordered windows two. I suqgest that you chech the height when ordering You might just have one off these. Hi Fred & Folks: We got caught up in the same problem a number of years back, and since then we keep both part numbers in stock. There is no mystery to it, you have to look at the VIN of the coach, and here are the facts: MCI Pembina built vins 37499 thru 38798, and Roswell built TMC's from vin 3475 to the end of production were built with a different windshield panel that takes the odd channels. Now my disclaimer, it is possible that somewhere along the line, a MC-9 may have been been involved in a front end accident where the odd parts may have been used. I Hope this HELPS!! Happy & Safe Bussin' to ALL!!! LUKE at US COACH |
