Not being familiar with Eagles, I can't respond to the location, but sheet metal (or other fireproofing) is required by code and dictated by common sense. As to inslulation, several options ranging from lead sheet sandwiched between foam layers (from Soundown, Inc, Marblehead, MA) to the finger type foam to.....on and on and on... Try to route the combustion and generator (the electrical portion) cooling air through some kind of duct so there isn't a direct path to the outside. A path like that makes the best insulation useless. Jim |
