Peter, It would be cool, but a really great one would be a B-52 or even a C-5A. Gov. liquidations sell C-141 Starlifters for a song. Then you just have to have it shipped, contract for an engineer to build the base and convert the inside. My favorite is the B-17 gas station in Oregon. It may not be there any more, but was cool to fuel up at! Dallas |

Here in Vegas we had a guy that flew in a HUGE old 4 engine piston powered cargo plane from the 50's. He taxied it to the corner of the airport and had it craned across the street onto a steel framework with the landing gear down. The idea was he was going to make it into a resturant. He went so far as to have a patio and stairs fabricated for it, and had all of the massive four bladed props chromed before the city stopped him. Rumour was that it wouldn't meet fire codes, and there it sat up on stilts for 15 years until it finally got taken down and split up for scrap. Brian |
