I have a switch on my dash that is labeled "ON-SPOT"

I followed one of the wires all the way to the back of the bus - near the end of the transmition.

What is it?!!

ON-SPOT!!?

Thanks

Sounds like the switch is there for an automatic sno chain made by onspot. You can tell instantly if you have "the rest of the story" by looking under the bus. Should see some loose chains hanging down next to each drive wheel.

While sanding goodies were common in some areas of the winter wonderland , many charter coaches that went , wherever, would have a set of small spot lights near the rear wheel to make nite cornering in strange narrow places EZ.

Since there white (thus illegal in rear ) a switch was used.

Today folks just add a yellow side light and install a LARGE bulb.

This puts out enough light to see cars & curbs , and if the plastic eventually melts its a cheapo replacement.

My Guess,

Nice guess Fred, actually John hit the nail on the head, On-Spot is a company that makes air operated snow chains.

I have an On Spot air can on my bench at work right now.

More than likely, because of how much On-Spot snow chains cost, they were removed them from Mark's bus, but it's possible they are still there back near the front of drive axle.
