I'm sure this has been asked before on this board, but my search yielded no info. What are some companies that will sell insurance on a coach conversion? What if the coach belongs to a corporation instead of an individual? Tom |

Hi Tom, I use Progressive via RV Alliance at 800-521-2942. There is a Miller Insurance Agency at 800-622-6347, but I have no knowledge of their workings, just seen their ads. As for corporation owned units, I would guess that the company that holds the commercial automobile policy would also cover the bus, if not, check with RV Alliance, etc. Peter. |

I use GMAC [(800) 325 1190] which is avaible thru Good Sam club. Although they would prefer it, you don't need to be a Good Sam member to get the bus insurance. |

Tuck-04, I have State Farm Insurance on all of my cars and my Class-A match stick frame... My agent said that State Farm wouldn't insure a bus conversion because what I am using it for is not the original intended use for the vehicle... He said he contacted the underwriter and they said no-way... Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Toolman |

My State Farm agent could get mine insured, but only when it was finished and registered as a motorhome. I had to prove it was built correctly and to code, basically they only wanted to insure a "factory" conversion. Valuation was also a problem too. Best go to RV Alliance as per my earlier post and have it covered by someone who wants to do it and not by someone who doesn't want to and has little experience in the field. Peter. |

Tom, Our '76 Prevost is insured with Progressive bought through Miller Agency in OR. Miller is familiar with conversion coaches and Progressive has competitive rates and good claims service with a good roadside assistance plan included. Good luck, Rodger |
