Hubert.
Try appling lithiam grease in a spray can down the cable from the engine compartment. While someone is up front moving the pedal up and down, It may take a while.
Best fix is to take the cable completey out soak in bucket of fuel. Squirt fuel down the pipe from front to back let sit, then blow out. Lubricate the cable before you slide it back.See maint book.

Could probably use a blowgun to force
the "powerblaster", Liquid Wrench or
WD-40 the entire length, ehh?

I have the same problem with my 4106 every time the engine is steam cleaned. My problem is where the cable comes out of the sheath just in front of the govenor. The grease gets washed away and the cable binds. I just apply a littl more grease to the rod and work the pedal a couple times. That usually fixes it until the next steam cleaning. Hope that helps.

Try your local motorcycle shop; they have cable lub systems for forcing lub into the cable housing with the cable in place. Can't imagine why. ;-)

Lee, that lube has to be the right stuff, or the pedal will not be very free when it gets cold outside.

Fast Fred has posted the complete cleanup routine and you could probably find it using a Keyword search.

For what it's worth.
