I picked op a new carefree fiesta awning today. When i opened the box first thing i did was take out one arm,i noticed while holding against the bus the arm extended about 4 - 6 inches above the rain gutter. Is this too high? Or Can I cut the arms? Or do I need curved arms? Any suggestions would be welcomed. Bus is an MCI - 3

If you go www.dometic.com and find awnings you will find the arms come in different shapes and lenghts, I'm currently trying to figure out which would be best for my bus, looks like I will have to go to an RV dealer and ask.

Carefree of Colorado makes shorter arms, you just gotta tell them how long to make them. I had to use short arms for my MCI5. Worked great. no problem

I installed the awning last weekend.I had to cut the outer arms seven inches, the inner arms that go over the rail four inches. It works great.I e-mailed carefree they said i could not cut the arms. But i did. TONY MCI-3.
