I was wondering what kind of sealant do I use on the panel when I put it back together? There was so much different goop on it Iam not sure what the correct way is? Or is there a stock seal or gasket of some kind? Bill 4104-4032 |

Mine had an old, petrified gasket. I cleaned everything up & made a new one with 1/2" self adhesive foam weatherstrip. Biggest hassle I had was repairing all the "Rivnuts" which had gotten loose & spin where they are crimped into the sheet metal. Couldn't unscrew the hatch screws. I ended up glueing them with J-B Weld & they've been fine since. |

Well that's good, but what are you going to do NEXT time you need to work on something in there? Throttle cable, shift linkage, exhaust gaskets & mufflers....... |
