Hello just wanting the pro's and con's of raising the roof on the'ol forty-one o six sorry the numbers are refusing to work, muchthe same as my reversing solonoid any way thanks in advance Jim

I got out of the "raise the roof" argument a long time ago but you can search a couple strings here or in the archives for more.

The obvious advantage is space, head room or space for air con ducting, insulation etc.

Disadvantage, Cost, Time, Reengineering.
also if you raise the coach and put air conditioners above the roof, you have clearance concerns. You have to re-engineer the walls and cover them up then support for window placements. All common, I think for a roof raise.

Others will add where I missed or might be off track.

I spoke with a guy who has a 4106 for sale. It has a 6" raise which was done from just above the floor. That took care of the window problem and allows the furniture to stay below the bottom of the windows. I haven't seen it yet but the pics looked interesting.
