I need to let the air out of my MCI 5C suspension so I can finish skinning my second side. When I did the first side the bus had been sitting for months. It will take weeks to leak down but I need to do the job quickly and can't wait. I have opened all the drains I can find but the suspension is still up. I don't want to drain it at the levelers. Any help out there would be appreciated. Bob |

Normally the suspension WILL NOT come down even if there's no air in the rest of the system. In the real world, the front will come down if people get on & off repeatedly after the air runs out (at least mine does). Besides, you should be blocking the bus up so it doesn't distort when you remove the skin. If it sags & you put on new skin, you will build the sag or twist in permanently. |

There are check valves in the levelers. You will either need to unhook the levelers and manually operate them, or you could trick them by jacking up the main body away from the axle. This would cause the levelers to "think" the bus is too high and then they would exhaust some air to get it back down to the proper height. |
