I know some of you have discussed this - I didn't follow those topics and have no current interest, but heard a story on NPR today about a band that talked restaurant owners out of their used cooking oil every few days. Some of you with time on your hands might want to check it oot. :)

"Greasecar vegetable Fuel Systems allow mechanically injected diesel vehicles to run on straight, filtered vegetable oil. Vegetable oil as fuel is a cleaner, safer and less expensive alternative to petroleum based fuel. It can be locally produced, even grown in your own back yard!"

"even grown in your own back yard!" Sounds like America's next cash crop. Do you need a note from your doc.?

I brought this topic up some time ago and it was met with condemnation, since that time I have not posted anything on it but have designed and built a system which is going into production and just recieved a "patent pending". I plan to install one in my Neoplan (6V-92 TA) and have so far done 6 vehicles.

My system can be seen at www.frybrid.com , the site is not finished yet as the design and production has taken quite a bit of time. I am currently developing an on board filtering system capable of dealing with the quantity of fuel needed to fill the 144 gallon bus tank.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Chris -

Don't worry about any condemnation - there are plenty of us out here who may not have the knowledge or the guts to do what your doing - but that doesn't mean we don't support you - nothing could make most of us any more happy than to stick it to the ARAB Republics and forever keep from having to send our brothers ,sister , mothers and fathers overseas - in order to keep them from using our $$$$ to fund terrorists - if we can cut out the supply of money , they'll go back to being camel riding bedouins - IMHO I think your doing something quite patriotic - I hope you get both a personal and financial reward for your efforts-

Niles
