Hello, Looking at GM PD4106-221 as a prospective purchase. It's currently located in Oregon, but I understand the previous owner resided in san diego. Unfortunately, as is all too common it seems, the current owner passed away leaving family lore for history. Any info / advice appreciated. Thanks! | ||

It's in hillsboro. The bus (probably from the previous owner) was named "Carefree Too". I understand it's been mostly sitting for the last 6+ years, and the current owner died - but maybe the previous owner is around and knows something. | ||

Scott Just a suggestion but if it has sat for 6 years and no one has changed the tires, that alone is going to be the first thing that will need replacing within 2 years or less because they are probably rotted. Has the tank been full or half full or empty. Air bags could be rotted among other rubber goodies and wiring bad from rodents. Lots of coaches out there for sell right now unless this one is free. I will be checking tire date codes, supposedly they have been replaced more recently than that, if not will budget accordingly. | ||

Scott - I'd be glad to look it up for you, but unfortunately my delivery roster is temporarily packed in a box from my residential move two weeks ago.  Perhaps John Vickers will chime in here with the info, since he has the same list I do. This will ONLY give you the delivery date, fleet number and original purchaser from GM. Subsequent owners is something you'd have to sleuth out, possibly thru DMV records. Based on the production number, I'm going to guess that it's a 1962 model. TAKE PICTURES!!! Post them on Photobucket then share the link with us - we all love "bus porn!" Even if you don't buy it, take pics! FWIW & HTH. . .  | ||
