Well, found diesel cheap enough on Christmas day on the way home from the parents house with the wife. Nabbed 10 gallons and poured it into my 1955 TDH-4512 'The Ghost' (6-71)

The tank had been empty after the long needed cleaning, and the engine had lost it's prime.

After some carefully applied shots of starting fluid, and lots of incomplete combustion smoke through the neighborhood later, it finally primed and fired off. Let it warm up, air up the suspension, and shut it down.

Between that and getting the unimog running (been stored for >year), pretty awesome Christmas!
