Apparently they took their time rebooting the servers, but it's up and running again. |

They did a reload and update - after that, a couple of tests and reboots but it's back up now. |

It's been on and off for days but one thing I HAVE noticed is that if you click on the site logo it comes up as being served under ning! It has all members listed some with picture icons and some with just bcm! I think they are trying to incorporate Ning without anyone knowing it! Just my opinion |

I'll ask the dummy question. What's ning, and what's wrong about using it? I thirst for knowledge! |

Ning has a number of issues. Others may type with greater accuracy and specifics, but in general: In a few minutes of googling, after fleecing the venture capitalists for at least $120 million, offering free service and having lots of employees, they have very few employees left, and their services have to be paid for. Analysts figure it will be dead shortly. Back then it wasn't apparent as to what was going to happen with social networking, Ning could have been thought of as a worthy competitor to the others, and investors looked to be easy to convince. Once your stuff goes on there, it can't be removed. Some knowledgeable folks want nothing to do with the security vulnerabilities that this whole mess might be in. And what happens to all your information and stuff when they bankrupt? Sold to the highest bidder? As some may recall, Ian flirted with a BNO Ning back some years ago, when the future looked bright. As soon as the trouble started, and it was obvious which way the world was going, Ian migrated us all over to Facebook, where your efforts are more widely shared with friends and family, who are on Facebook already. Indeed, many of us have been forced into this Facebook stuff by grandchildren!!! And isn't that grand? Anyway, I was dismayed when Mike K over at BCM chose to take the Ning route at this late stage. FWIW, I think someone sold him a bill of goods. happy coaching! buswarrior |

The BCM site is still on GoDaddy right now. You can do a Whois search & see the servers for yourself. The BCM logo has been changed on the home page to point people to the Ning site if you click on it. TOM |
