I have a 1980 Eagle 10 converted to a custom coach from the factory. The control drivers panel has a switch for "Engine Heat". Having no knowledge of Webasto, etc. is there a way to physically see if this is actually a similar unit? |

Not sure about conversions, but a Webasto should have a control box, about 2" x 2" (if memory serves) mounted somewhere, usually in the drivers area (for commercial coaches, anyway). It will have (Once again, I think) 4 buttons and a LCD screen. |

It may also be a switch controlling a relay for the block heater. On a Webasto system, usually this switch would be controlling the engine heat circulator and would be located near the Webasto on/off switch. Quick check: is there a third exhaust? One for engine, one for genset and one for Webasto? |

If u have a Webasto then u should be able to see it. It must be accessible for service and is generally located in a bay area. The heating unit is enclosed in a stainless case. A friends Eagle has a switch on the driver's side control panel for turning on the Webasto. Howevr,as said, your switch could be for block heater. Main control for add-ons is usually near the unit, with switches and relays used remotely. |

My 80 Eagle had a switch on the left armrest console that turned a circulation pump on. The pump was installed in the engine compartment. This was to increase engine coolant to the front heater/defroster in the bus. Later the Webasto system was plumbed into this same circuit and the pump boosted water flow th the Webasto toe kick heaters also. Richard |
