I originally used JDM's "Coach Brite" to get a mirror finish on all the Stainless on my MC-7. Due to someone plowing into one of the bay doors, I've replaced it but believe JDM is out of business. Could anyone help me out in getting a product that does the excellent job their "Coach Brite" product originally did? Thanks in advance guys for any and all help you can throw my way. Busch Enterprises in Statesville, NC (704)878-2067, has the buffing wheels and compounds you need. They also have an informative sheet on how to do it. With UPS they are only a few days away. They do many FMCA shows and hot rod shows too. Another buffing info site is Caswell Plating but I no longer have their web address. Too bad you have to do it again, I know how much work it is. Jim |

Wow, what a co-incidence. Was going to search for this topic when I looked down and noticed it was sitting right there near the top of the list. I was curious if "all" of the various stainless steel bus walls can be brought up to a mirror finish with this type of product. Is it only for coaches that started out life with really shiny stainless, or would it work even on busses that were never intended to be mirror finish. Perhaps it's just the age, but I have never seen a mirror finish on an Eagle bus for instance. I wonder if some types of stainless finishes used on various coaches have more of a textured finish sort of like a Delorean (sp?) car from the 70's or most stainless steel kitchen sinks. thanks, jp |

All stainless bus sides can be brought to a high polish. Most start out looking much like the kitchen sink. However, not all bus sides are stainless steel. Eagle and GM have aluminum that is not practical to bring to a polish. This would destroy the anodization and the polish would only last a short time without some type of protective coating. Jim |
