If a fresh water tank has three 1/2 inch fittings and One larger fitting (not sure of the exact size) can two of these tanks be linked side by side to form a larger capacity without too much trouble? Thanks Ace |

depends on where the fittings are & what position the tanks will be in...if the fittings are pointing down..would be the easiest way |

I like to keep my tanks separate, simply because then I have control over the occasional dummy that takes too long a shower or trys to clean a frypan with the water running. If only one tank is avaliable at a time, he can't screw me and use it all up by mistake (and I've seen this happen with other RV's more than once in just a few years) I've got three 50 gallon tanks, side by side under the bed, separately valved into the water pump inlet. Additionally I can control the weight distribution in the bus by controlling how much water is used from which tank as we camp. 1500 pounds of water is something to think about.... |

Ace: Yes they can, and you can isolate them by installing a valve in the cross-over line or install a valve at the connection of the cross-over into each tank for individual tank control. The larger un-threaded fitting is for a vent tube or a gravity fill hose connected to the gravity fillers where u stick a hose in them and fill the tank (should be on the top side) and u must vent each tank in the gang. |

Not usually a FL problem , but the crossover line might also make a good drain to winterize. Or just to dump foul water. Be sure to use FOOD GRADE hose that light can't get thru. FAST FRED |
