Since returning from Iraq this spring, I've noticed a nice looking GMC 4905 on a country road a few miles away as I drive by. I finally decided to stop the other day and ask about it.

I asked to see the "man-of-the-house," and was told that he'd passed away earlier this summer. After offering condolences, I ask the widow about the bus. She told me she was going to try and sell it. She showed it to me. Appears to be a clean 8V71 with a manual-xmsn. The top-level seats are removed, but additional conversion was haulted with her husband's death.

It seems her husband and his brother got into buses sometime back. Her husband had several GM's (only this one left) and his brother has an Eagle. I noticed the Eagle the other day while driving through town, but haven't stopped to visit.

I'm just preparing to retire after 34 years military service, but I am about a year out from getting a bus for myself.

Editor's note: Garth, please don't be offended, but I have removed the reference to the sale of this bus. There are 6 paid ads online at this site for 4905's. To sell one through the bulletin board, even as a gesture of goodwill, might be taken by those 6 sellers as unfair. Therefore, may I please suggest that you offer the resources of this web site as a selling medium to the person you identify in this thread. With an average selling price for these 6 buses of about $40,500., a $50. ad only represents about 0.13% "commission". It's almost moot to even mention it, but this whole web site is partially financed through the sale of Buses for Sale ads. Thanks for understanding.
