Jerry, if your 102A3 is like my 96A3 (and probably like an MC-9) the electrically operated air solenoid for your air lock is located under a panel on the upper section of the left stairwell wall, behind that panel is a small compartment that is just under the floor and just behind the air lock itself. Jerry, Is there a small lever with a red plastic knob on the end under the dash above the throttle pedal? If so this is an over-ride switch. At least this is the way our MC-8 was set up. Hope this helps, Jack |

We removed all this from our MC-8, but if I remember correctly the air supply was the accessory tank that is mounted under the drivers seat. The air goes to a regulator, then to a solenoid, through the override switch and then to the air lock cylinder. The solenoid is controlled by a micro switch installed on the lower part of the door crank that is on the dash. You might try cracking the line that enters the solenoid to see if you are getting air there. If you are, check for air after the solenoid. All of these components are located in the top of the spare tire compartment (at least on our MC-8, that is where they were). Hope this helps, Jack PS: One other thing I happened to think of, Check for power to the solenoid. |
