Recently, I let the fuel get too low, and it seems that the junk on the bottom of the tanks clogged the fuel line to the generator. I took the fuel filter off and there is no fuel getting to the gen.

Can I take off the fuel line at the gen., and force air back to the tanks to un-clog the lines?

Any other suggestions?

On my genset fuel tank, I have an anti-siphon fitting. It prevents the fuel from draining back into the tank. If you have one, you'll need to take it off.

However, I agree with Frank, try to clean it out.

Hey, just to let you know...I took off the fuel line at the filter, and blew on the line. What ever was in the way is now unclogged, and generator runs like a champ.

Maybe someday I will get around to cleaning out the tanks.
