I want to put a heater in my 65 Gillig. I don't have the $$$ for a "furnace". I rember a friend of mine had an older trailer that had 2 heaters in it, they looked like a stove burner with a thermocouple that had a "stove pipe" going straight out the roof with a heat reflector on back side. The "stove pipe" like part had 3" to 4" long dimond shaped depressions in it that were about 1"-2" deep. Anybody on board know anything about this style of heater? anyone know where I could get any of thease heaters? thanks! |

sC. I am looking for one just like the one that I discribed in above thread. it wold be a propane heater. It wold definitly be old & used. The heaters were also used in small cabins, resorts, & campgrounds. I am sure that more people don't know exactly what I am refering to than do. I have a wood burner, but it wold not be exceptable in many places because of the smoke factor. It is kinda scary also. the one that I want can be placed right into a corner that has wood paneling with a minimum amount of clearence from the walls. Also it is ezyr to locate propane when traveling. I don't plan on traveling to where it gets extreemly cold, so it dosen't have to be extreemly high in BTU's. I also want more than one. It vents through the roof just like a wood stove, straight up & out a hooded exost pipe. |

If you are talking about a heater that looks like a cylinder, about 8-10" diamter, a friend of mine just got one from a propane business that also sells Gas appliances. John |

John, yes the heater is basicly a cylinder, is vertical, & vents exost straight up & out the roof. Was the one that your friend got an old used one or new? did it exost out the roof? are there more of them? do you know what your friend paid for it? |
