I have just noticed that my brake lights are not working. For diagnostic purposes, I wanted to know if they only work when the bus is aired up. Right now they don't work either way. Thanks

I've noticed that as long as my park brake is set, the brake lights do not operate. Once the park brake is released, the brakes lights function ok.

Lin, vehicles with air brakes need to be aired up to activate the brake light. The brake light switch senses air pressure.

Iv- MCI uses two brake light switches, one for park and one for service brakes. Both located on the ceiling of the spare tire compartment. A voltmeter will give a quick answer as to which one is working.
