Darrell - Yes, but you may have to modify the back of the bucket to accommodate the larger bulb. Highly recommend that you update the wiring and plug (available from most auto parts houses) to handle the extra load. Use a relay so that the headlight switch only sends trigger voltage to the relay. Once you get these installed and aimed properly (that's REAL important!!!), you'll be absolutely amazed at how effective these lights are. BTDTHTS!! FWIW & HTH. . .  | ||

What's a cibie light? If they are that good, do they make single light app's as in 4104's?? | ||

Brian, You left out the outrageous prices. I've tried some of those European lights, including Marchal, and found them not worth the money. Plain ole US halogen HL work just fine for me. I found some at NAPA for $12 that are sealed beam with a bulb inside so when the lens cracks the lights still work. | ||

James - Yes, Cibie does make the big 7" lamps to fit your 4104, and, IMHO, they are well worth the money. I know Gus doesn't agree due to the cost issue, and that's fine, to each his own. I've used them since the '60's, and even tho today's headlamps are a big improvement over those from that era, the US-spec lamps still do not have the tightly focused beam pattern of the European code (E-Code) lamps. The $12 halogens from NAPA still produce annoying glare to oncoming drivers, because the optics of the lens are still US spec. The only difference is that they're brighter. Yes, they're expensive, about $75 per lamp or so. Plus whatever you need to do to your coach's headlamp circuitry to upgrade to relay-operated lamps. I've found pricing to be a little better at the importer's site: www.cibieusa.com Daniel Stern's site, however, gives a really good explanation of the differences between the US DOT-code and the E-code optics, well worth reading. When folks complain about the cost, I always ask "What price SAFETY?" FWIW & HTH. . . |
