My 1989 Eagle 20 has a 3 micron filter installed on the hydraulic system that drives the engine cooling fan. The manual specifies that a 10 micron filter be installed. I believe my fan will turn more rpm with the 10 micron and the engine should run a little cooler way down here in south Texas. I have also heard that the filter should be a 20 micron and am not sure if there could have been a directive from Eagle after the manual was published but before Eagle went out of business. What micron filter have you guys with hydraulic fans (not just Eagles) been running successfully in this system? |
