This is sorta normal , the oil pressure in the tranny at idle is nothing to speak of.

Just to be sure I would install a NEW pressure switch , the real one from a bus place .

Perhaps yours is a close replacement.

MY 4106 book calls for "engine oil" which was 30 wt when Da Book was written.

Have found a good brand of synthetic works great ,no stiff shifting in AM , and no red lamp when ideling hot.

Could your idle be set too low?

The old setting of 400 rpm was to have the monster air cond be able to engage, today the DD folks use 600RPM as slow idle.

There are places that can get the new {or new copies}of the BOOKS you will need.

Most important is the coach book , but the drivers book is usefull if this is your first coach , and depending on your conversion Style , the parts book is a great help.

If your a sledgehammer smasher, rip it all out converter , Parts is not much help,

IF your a converter of existing , into what you want , the visuals in the parts book will be a big help.

Most folks don't do much more than the oil change in the DD but the DD book is nice {and pri$y} from your friendly DD dealer..

Great reading!!

Try LUKE at us Coach 1-888-COACH 34 for Da Books , he will get them or send you to where you can order them.

Every now and then you can pick up a DD Highway V71 book on eBay. Don't know what your powerplant is, but keep checking and you might find what you need. I paid about $20 for mine. The bus manuals you won't likely find on eBay but check with the specialists for those. I am still looking for an Allison VS2-8 book. . .

FRED- could you please share the brand name of the synthetic oil you use in the transmission? (in the Flea Market section, of course) Thank you
Don
