I noticed that the MC9 Bus of the Month has a split destination sign and bi-fold doors. For those in the crowd who are into the "geeky stuff", we'd love to know a more complete history of the coaches if it's available, some out there even like unit/model/serial/fleet numbers thrown in too! In this month's case, where was it between built in 1979 and when Can-Ar, the broker/refurbisher/buscompany/owner/operator/mechanicforhire came into posession of it. One of two sources is likely, if the bus originally is from Ontario. Split destination sign and bi-fold doors narrow down the potential sources. First, it may be an ex Gray Coach Lines bus that ended up in Greyhound Canada's fleet when Stagecoach bankrupted GCL on their first foray to North America back in the early 90's(yes the same one who now owns the big kids at Coach USA) and the lines and equipment were sold off. Greyhound has been discarding these older '9s over the last few years. There may have been intermediate owners between Greyhound and Can-Ar prior to its present owner. The other source would be an ex GO Transit bus, but I haven't heard that they have sold off any more MC9's than the 5 bastard units with the 6V92 in them. The rest of the 25 bus order that year were equipped with the 8V71. Those 6V92's were mechanical and pretty poor on power by comparison.
