Three irrevocable plumbers rules:
1) The Boss is an SOB.
2) Quitting time is four o'clock.
3) Sh** doesn't run uphill.

It should work IF you have a vent stack on each side of the low point. It will act as a big P-trap. This definitely is not code. Be sure to have a clean out at the low point and be sure to put antifreeze in it if it might freeze. This should be a last resort if there are no other solutions.

You probably could get away with draining only the vanity that way. As mentioned above it will act as a trap and will get clogged sometimes. It is not a particularly graceful solution.

I don't crop in my sink either, but I'd want to make sure that
the tank that's holding the crop doesn't end up draining back
into my sink. It may not "run uphill", but you might park on
an angle; stop suddenly, drive downhill; somehow cause
pressure to build in the tank.... or have any number of other
unexpected occurrences that usually result with the words:
"holy crop".

I guess those guys are just trying to give you a heads-up.
Some precautions are necessary.

My bus has a center chute or race for pipes and wires for the bus things. My Vanity and kitchen sink both have traps under the sinkk and drain into a 2" PVC pipe that slopes at a an angle so that it misses the chute or race. It enters the single holding tank at a lower level than the top of the holding tank. Way lower. It enters a 3" X 2" X 3" Tee between two dump valves. Grey water from those two sinks and the shower enters the holding tank through the 1st dump valve when it is open. To Dump, open the second dump valve. The 1st dump valve can be left closed and the second (distal) one open to allow unlimitted grey water dumping an long, long showers when hooked up to a sewer connection. That is how we are using it in a campground right now. We adjust the valves so that the shower runs into the holding tank every two days and then dump a well diluted tank after a shower. Shower trap is in the water bay, giving a trap on each drain except the toilet. My water lines to the oother side of other side of the bus go through the chute or race. If you leave a wide "u" low point under the chute you will need a drain there to empty it for winter.

This was a professional conversion by Executive Coach Corporation, 1982.

While we are talking tires, has anyone bought the 11/24 tires that Sams is selling for only
$255.00. They look good, but are they. I have been tempted.

Personally, I don't buy tires made by companies I've never heard of.

Really really bad things happen really really fast when tires go away.

You would have heard of the mfg IF you could find out who it was.

Tires are really competative , so it takes a big factory running hard to compete.

Different Brand names are given to the same tires from any factory. Some sluthing might get great tires at a reasonable price.

The best deal is too figure how to get Goodyears at the Skool district price , about half of what a dealer charges!

I would do some more checking, Sams don't make tires, and they don't buy no-name inferior stuff either.

Hey--you guys do what you feel most comfortable with, I buy lots of tires at Costco, or LesSchwab (On the left coast). I'm a fast Harley/musclecar guy and I don't let price determine my tires. I decide on which tires and then look for the best value.

Plumbing , Found an interesting idea today in the new issue of Fine Homebuilding.

In order to increase stowage space the sink drain plastic pipe turned 90deg and ran to the rear of the sink compartment (cabinet) .

There the J traps were installed , instead of directly under the sink .
FW shutoff valves were also back there allowing a great big drawer to be installed in what is frequently dead space, just under the sink.

Looked like an IDEA that could be easily used.

Seems like an OLD idea to me since our Eagle's pipes were done exactly that way. We found it to save a lot of under cabinet space though very little change needed to be made to do it! Glad it's finally published for others to use!

No it wasn't MY idea but more of a common thought idea!

Sam's says they will not mount or balance them....there's the tradeoff.. Good prices, for the tire, but when other things are added, doubtful...

FWIW :-)
