This was a very nice extra quiet place. No Power or water. The kind you pay at the post after picking your spot. The pavement runs about 3/4 of the way around a 50 acre lake. The sites are large, clean and wooded and no problem for a self contained coach. We got a site on the water and had a blast swimming and playing on the lake. Nothing to rent, a bring your own type place. The Peddel bike ride was excellent with lots of trails. The blueberry crop is everwhere in the woods and easy pickings in the later summer months. Which also brings hosre fly time into the picture. But only at certain times of the day in the water. Easy to get around with the coach and its a large campground with not a lot of sites. Only 30 or 40. This is located on the south side of 28 about 8 miles east of 123, in Michigans upper peninsula. An out of sight in the woods place to enjoy as our family did. Sometimes its nice to just be in the woods with no campground amenities. OUT HOUSE BATHROOMS, No SHOWERS and thats why we have our own bathroom and carry a 100 gallons of H2O This is one of our favorite hide outs in da u.p. A ! Once known to be a hide out of Al Capone, Oh Ya No Phone ! This is about 45 miles North of the Bridge as we say. The National forest campgrounds are all over this state and we use them. This 1 is the U.P. at its best 1 of reasons we do the u. p. along with no city, no phones and a great place to break out the telescope and walkie talkies. Maybe let me know your going and we can meet u.p. :-) The "Naturopath" 96A3 |
