This is parked in a storagae area in downtown Lakeside Ca. The folks by the storage area only know that its being stored, nothing else. Does this belong to anyone that reads the board?

I think that's one of the RARE general motors caravan buses from the '50's...

It is a GM - it was badged on the rear. The joints around the top look pretty rough, so I was wondering if it was a "custom" job. The front looks well done though..

The main complaint from the drivers back then, was the bubble top was very hot...I think this is a custom/hand made job, somebody trying to copy the G.M. guys...can you imagine what cars look like from the drivers seat??

If I owned it I would have to call it cyclops.

I believe it a homemade project because we at work (GM Tech. Center) would do more streamline design than this.

About Twodog mention GM Futurliner..link:

For what it's worth.

Tim, its a real clean 3751. I have more pictures of both buses, but its a pain to cut them down to under 20k. I'd be happy to send all 9 pics to anyone with broadband.

Thanks Jim this bus is for sale in the classic bus sale adds on busnuts.com. Nice bus but I don't care for the late model windows my self. But still very nice looking. Of course any old gm silverside to me is pleasing to eye.

That bubbletop is neat...seems like the perfect thing for some extra living space underneath. :-)

Tim,
I emailed the guy that has the 3751 for sale, thinking he might also own the other one, but alas, he does not. and he does not know anything about it.

Jim,

I've been traveling and am just now reading some of my email.

I hope this isn't too late for you to see - was going to email you direct, but couldn't find your email address.

I'd like those nine pics you mentioned.

Thanks - Garth - garth.c.burt@us.army.mil
