Scott told me he was not going. However, we'll be there and we have WiFi available. -Sean |

Hi Sean, That's great! If I could impose, can we hook up when Maisie & I get down there? It may help me to answer some questions throughout my seminar. Thank you. Ian www.busnut.com |

We will also have a MotsSat connection. Right now it is pretty secure with WEP. I will open it up if needed. Or better yet, does anyone know of a way to have both a secure and non-secure network? Would like to keep my clients secure, but would be glad to share a host connection. Is that as simple as adding another WAP to the hardware? Jim Shepherd Evergreen, CO ’85 Eagle 10

Ian, I have an open network, and anyone is welcome to use it while we are there (within reasonable bandwidth usage, of course). We do not, however, have an outside antenna such as Scott's, so the signal only goes a dozen yards or so from the bus. You're welcome to stroll over to wherever we are parked and use the net. Of course, if you'd like us to be parked in a more, umm, convenient place, perhaps you could inquire of Jack if he would set aside a good spot for us :-) Jim: AFAIK, the only way to run two different 'nets, one open and one secure, from the same single IP that your Datastorm undoubtedly provides is to have a router capable of doing NAT to two different subnets (with a lot of configuration involved). We just run individual firewalls on each of our machines. -Sean |
