While my wife was saying something about the house Christmas lights not being up yet, (I had my selective hearing turned to about 6), I was looking at an ad from Lowes for Christmas rope lights for $4.95 each 18 feet long. I was particularly interested in the white rope lights because I was looking for something to light the steps and maybe the hallways in the '04. I quickly said to wife something like "yes dear I'm going to Lowes to pick up additional lights for the house". On the way I was thinking 18 feet long each x two for 36 ft, and both sides of the hallway I need 4 packages. I also thought that red, green, and blue may be cool too. I spent almost $100 in lights for the Bus, er... I mean the house.
Upon analysis of the lights, these are 110V incandescent miniature about 2 in space betbeen bulbs and can be plugged together for continuous lengths up to 200ft. I will probably use a cheap small inverter for these lights.
Come January, these lights will go from the house to bus duty and I will lay them along the entrance steps and the edge of the walkways.

The sale ended yesterday, but the lights are still available at less than $7 at Lowes.

"Tis the season,

Cheers,

I was going to comment that there are some lights that come in rope form that are 12vdc,

but then, how would you power them on the house?

Hey Gele,

Glad to hear your 04 is running. We came back from Baja about four weeks ago in our 04. Put about 800 miles on it pulling our trailer, second time this year. it is running excellent except that the new H3 headlamps and auxiliary drive and fog lights, overheated the original 20 amp breaker. Will have to rewire the side console to get more amps to the lights.
Tried to get your email from your posting but no email
