Well I registerd, todd is now Teqsand, I'm looking for all the cockpit glass for a 4104 including both windshields, seems the kidds in the neighborhood thought it would be nice to crack them all for me. Also looking for passenger side baggage doors and the rear engine cover, any ideas? http://www.racefannews.com/bus/4104.jpg thanks all |

Hi Todd, Nice machine. Good luck with it. Sounds like you'll need a net to catch the rocks. Craig S |

Hi Todd, Nice bus. A 4104 is a great classic bus. Like Doug said. Windshields no problem new. (All GMs take same windshield which is the same as Prevost LeMirage side windows.) As for driver's & door window, I highly recommend you change to Peninsular sliders. They allow you to stick your head out the driver's side when backing and admit lots of fresh air. Fast Fred will recommend you rebuild your originals & that's fine but it may take you years to find a pair in decent shape THEN you have to rebuild with new rubber. After all that you don't have window screens which you do have with Penninsulars. From the look of that huge scoop on the side of the radiator opening, I'd be pretty sure you need radiator & cooling system work 'cause when a 4104 cooling system is right, it doesn't need a scoop. HI eveyone, thanks for the kind words about my 04. just to clear things up, the scoop is just a hold over from days gone by, she never goes above 170 degrees. The motor and 4 speed have both been rebuilt, 4 valve head and uped the HP. She runs strong and true. would like more info on the Peninsular sliders windows tho. |

The Peninsula Web Site is pretty good. It shows all the options, how to measure, etc. |

Peninsila windows is a great way to go on side windows. Great for the air it gives the driver in warm weather when you don't want to run the air. The folks at peninsula are good to work with. They were very helpful when I put in the drivers, shotgun seat window as well as the larger ones. Would not hesitate to do it again. Finding original is usually just as costly and more time consumming. Good luck with your bus, you just purchased one of the best buses ever built. Ron 4104 |

"As for driver's & door window, I highly recommend you change to Peninsular sliders. They allow you to stick your head out the driver's side when backing and admit lots of fresh air." Underway Penins a complete waste of time , as almost no air ever comes in as they are in a low pressure area. But loads of air noise does come in. IF a stiff breeze is blowing at the campsite , there OK. The Origonals are hard to fuind , but at 75 the breeze is really IMPRESSIVE!!! FAST FRED |

Fred, I have to disagree with you. While not the ram air scoops that the originals can be, the Penns give us plenty of air to travel with the AC off so long as the outside temps are below 80. Above that we run the air conditioning. We live in FL year round & usually use the windows after the sun goes down. We do not use the window screens while driving because they DO make noise.
