I need recomendation on the best kind of paint stripper you guys know of. The side of my 3751 have three layers of brown paint and one layer of some sort of primer I think for some sort of adheasive that was on it at some time. I'm in Northwestern Ohio and need something that will work in not so warm temps, not eat my siding and hopfully would take the silver primer stuff off that is EXTREMLY hard to get. |

PGR works great on paint and adhesives, but I don't know where you'd find it. Brian |

After soften paint with aviation paint remover, use 2400 or greater psi WITH “Roto-head” nozzle. Make paint removing must quicker and use less aviation remover in the long run. Roto head are $50 to $80. Available at Lowe’s, Home Depot and rental stores. Make sure Roto-head match to your psi source or it won’t do effective job. Gel type is best if available. Keep substance from drying out with plastic sheet covered and avoid running streak if possible. Suggestion for ultimate effect on vertical surface; 1) Stir to a uniform consistency. 2) Apply a thick coat of gel remover to the area being stripped using a paintbrush or a wallpaper paste brush for larger areas. 3) Then, if desired, cover gel remover with a plastic film. This especially helpful if you are removing multiple layers of built-up coatings or sealers because it reduces evaporation and allows gel paint remover to absorb deeper and more completely. 4) Let Coating Remover do the work in softening the finish. Because coatings cannot be removed until fully softened, this is the most critical step when using the product. Give the material enough time to absorb and apply additional gel remover as necessary. Depending on the type of coating being removed, the temperature, and the number of layers present, gel remover may take several minutes, or several hours to strip the coating.. 5) Test the finish. This determines whether coatings are satisfactorily softened for removal. Periodically scratch or scrape a small portion of the treated area to see how easily the coating is removed. 6) Apply additional material if necessary. If gel remover is completely absorbed, yet doesn’t completely soften all built-up layers of the coatings, apply a second coat of material and give it time to work. Repeat this procedure until all built-up layers are soft enough for easy removal. 7) Remove softened finish. Once the finish is completely softened, scrape it off with a putty knife indoors and a pressure washer outdoors. 8) Clean up any residue and remaining finish.
