Charged my batteries up plus it was alot warmer today 6v92 started right up but after a couple of minutes it started missing and wouldn't accelerate it will start up but will only run for 5 seconds. I think I have lost the prime on my fuel. The reason i think this is the bus has been sitting for about 4 months or so.Any one had this happen before? Any help will be appreciated. Oh it is an Eagle model 10 6v92. |

It may be the radiator serge tank is not full and the electrical system is shutting it down on you. This happened to me on my 4905. |

if it will run for a few minutes...it's got it's prime...how old are the fuel filters...are you sure your mousetrap hasn't been set-off...fill the fuel filters with power service... |

Leonard Mine did this and drove me crazy. It turns out all it was is that the engine stop switch outside(in engine compartment) was in the off position. Nice if its that simple. |

it sound like you have a shut off switch in the wrom[ng position as the engine will run until it gets enough to power the shut off which takes longer when first started but the engine will shut down quicker after it has some air in the system. check front and back to be sure that all the switches are in the run pos. |

It lost it prime , I use a small 12v automotive type pump and pump out of a small fuel can into A plug on the filter and let it pump, start the motor when its running good turn it off and plug the filter back up. Mine used to do it some times but i think it was from lack of use. Brian 4905 Klamath Falls Oregon |

Sounds like what my 8V71 did once. Shut down for a lunch stop. Upon restart it would fire up, then gradually die. Tracked it down to a broken wire on the Skinner valve which controls the fuel shut off. |
