does any have any experience with keyless entry and security systems on an MC-9. mine has a toggle switch next to the front door, not very secure! Also I'm told there is a way to defeat the electrical system with a valve some where?

thanks

I've got no specific knowledge of the MC-9, but you could always just move the switch to a much less obvious location, such as under the front bumper, for a quick and dirty fix. I plan on a more elaborate security system eventually on my bus. But that is a ways down the road. Don't even have my RV door installed yet!

I posted earlier but the message never appeared so here goes again.../.

I had found a nice 12vdc keypad used to replace the key for a Bobcat. It was being sold as a surplus item and you could input your own code.
It also had an aux key that could be used for another door or storage compartments, etc. It was a nice heavy duty item-plan on using one on my rear door.

If there is other interest on this I can try to find the catalog. I think it was the SURPLUS CENTER that offered it.

Why not replace the toggle switch with a key-operated switch?

Or put a key-operated single-pole single-throw switch in series with the power source to the toggle to prevent it from being used for opening AND closing the door without a key.

Or put a dead-bolt lock in the door to prevent unauthorized opening.
