For insurance purposes, does anyone know an approximate cost to replace the entire roof on a 1981 MCI-9? This should also include paint. Again, I am only looking for basic estimates.... thanks G |

Roof? The skin, or the entire structure? And the reason for the need to replace? Is the window trim/seals damaged? Escape hatch and seals damaged? Lights/electrical? |

If you're looking to file a claim? I'd bring it into an RV shop and have them write an estimate for repair. The floor can be water damaged from the cap's leaking and some structural damage due to corrosion might be included. That will up the cost to an amount that might exceed your deductibles. You may be able to send pictures to ABC bus and have them work up an insurance estimate to be updated when you actually bring it in. If you're looking to buy a vehicle and this is what you plan to fix....? Price out the front and rear caps and lights. The roof will be adorned with fans and AC units by the time you're done anyway. A rubber roof can take care of any minor leaks. |
