I recently acquired a 54-57 FitzJohn Roadrunner. The brake drums are in bad shape and I’m afraid they may not be turnable. Do you know of any method to restore these drums perhaps by welding to build the walls back up where they could be turned or lining them in some way or a brake drum from another vehicle that would fit this bus?

hey rich
yoiu cant restore by welding because the drums are cast iron and difficult to weld and dangerous the rear end is either a rockwell or eaton takethe drum to your nearest truck garage and they will be able to identify it for you they are not real expensive compared to what they do this is the first time ive heard of a fitzjohn roadrunner would be interested in seeing some pictures of it put it in the conversions in progress section
