Fred wrote on another board - As a dealer for Espar and othere brands , years ago, we found the euro derived units to need #1diesel with 50% kero to assure lighting in severe cold. On a boat it was easy to blend in the fuel tank, on a coach I would sugest a seperate tank for the better fuel...... At this time Kero is about 70 cents a gallon cheaper than diesel in N.Y state. Can I safely run this mixture in all my diesel engines to clean them out? |

Ed: I am responding only with regard to your coach engine. Your injectors are lubricated internally by the oil in the diesel fuel. Here in N.J., other than the last two days, we do not experience weather that should cause you concern, or the need to dilute your fuel. Just my thoughts on the matter, having operated coaches here in N.J. & Pa. for 42 years, for what that is worth??? Happy, Healthy & SAFE Bussin' to ALL!!! LUKE at US COACH |

Was just thinking about #1 fuel. My bus has a plate on it that says #1 fuel which to my understanding is Kerosene. this is what DD says to burn in a 2 cycle. I have never used anything but #2. Does the kero. have enough lub. for the injectors? |

Kerosene is not the same thing as #1 diesel fuel. A google search will bring up lots of sites with the explanation. |

Hi ED: As I do not have your E-Mail address, yes we will be open from the 27th through at least the 30th. The 31st is a question mark at this time as we have a new "busnut" buying a 4905 in Maine (arriving there on the 29th to pick up his coach , for which I sent ahead a care package of parts today that he wanted to have), and he is heading for Atlanta. He wants to stop by our shop to have us evaluate his coach on the way home. His schedule will determine whether we are open and here on the 31st AM, at least, or not. I have always based our holiday schedule upon the needs of our cusomers, and my "Team" goes along with me. After all, Service is all we have to provide, then there is time for rest and fun. Just so some folks may think I am a "Scrooge": NOT!!! Tomorrow we will work until noon, we have some great food ordered. The entire team will exchange gifts, break bread together, enjoy refreshments we provide, and we will spend the afternoon just being ourselves and enjoying the Joy and Peace of the Holiday Season. Ed, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!! I hope Santa is good to you and your family, and wish you and yours all the BEST in the New Year!!!! Thank you for your continued support of US COACH. Happy & SAFE Bussin' to ALL!!!! LUKE at US COACH |
