We are getting ready to insulate our coach and are considering using spray foam. What are the different types of foam available and what are the pro's and con's of each type. Thanks for the help!

Mark,

I can't speak to the different types but I had the best luck with the kits from McMaster-Carr (check their website).

A 200 sq and 600 sq kit should cover your bus IF you apply above 80 degrees to get most expansion. Respirator (from Lab Safety) and fully chemical proof (no vents) goggles along with gloves and clothing that can be disposed of are a must.

You can get all the info from Fomo Products (search the web for their site) but the products from McMaster-Carr are nearly identical, are cheaper, and ship quicker.

Good Luck,

Remember cold spray foam has a much lower R factor than hot spray. Hot spray requires special equipment with heated hoses to apply, more bucks.

I had my 35' 4104 hot sprayed for $800 including caps, wheel wells, and generator compartment. FWIW
