Ok. I've been doing a lot of thinking, I've looked at several sites, and each one has differences that make me question the true nature of this beast... so... I'll just ask here, plain and simple...

I'm seriously considering doing a dual tank setup. One for regular diesel, the other for WVO/SVO. But... and here's the key... what, exactly, needs to be done to the engine to make it work?

Furthermore... What kind of setup do I need in order to make filtering easier, while maintaining the cheapness of the setup, but still maintaining a VERY good filtration level?

Any particular sites I could look at that you folks know about that goes into the intricate details of such a conversion? I'd really like to do this, free/cheap fuel would be a very nice addition to this 60 foot Leviathan.

Yea, I've looked at that site... but I couldn't find anything specific for the 6v92... Are there any ready made kits for the DD 6v92 engines?

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to diesel engines... so, bear with me. :-)

Also.... I've changed my name to my nickname... My parents and friends have called me this for years, but I've always dismissed it. Perhaps it's time to start using it. :-)

Call Charlie at Greasel, he has a 6V92 in his MC-6. Like anything else dealing with a bus conversion, one size do not fit all, there are several ways to plumb and place the conversion.

Macgiver, if you can stand the extra tankage to carry the unfiltered oil, you can use a fairly low powered setup to do fine filtration at your leisure. If you have to filter or treat it before you put it in your tanks, it's likely to cost.
